Our Mission at Grateful Heart Foundation Inc, is to support youth that age out of the foster care system.  How many children between the ages of 14 to 18 actually get adopted out of foster care?  That number will shock you!  The better question is what happens to these kids after they age out?  20% of kids who age out of foster care become instantly homeless.

We are creating a group home for young adults to teach them various trades all while having the security  that they need to learn all the necessary life skills and find their passion with in a trade. The goal is to  build a community on a 20 acre parcel, which can be off grid, where we will house these kids for a set period of time. While there, they will help convert sheds into tiny homes where they will live during their time with us. There will be up to 50 houses. A community garden. Which they will all help to maintain in an effort to teach them to be self sustainable and grow their own food source.
A community pool that they will help build. A community recreation center to learn other trades and skills.  All of which will be built by professional licensed businesses that are willing to supplement their time into volunteer services.  We will have different licensed professionals come speak to our youth about their specific trade by donating their time to train the kids on the different trades IE... sewing,  framing, drywall, painting, finish work, carpentry, gardening, plumbing, electrical and so on.  
This youth community will be self-sustainable while developing the youth as they acquire all the necessary and desired skill sets along with basic life skills to become productive adults in society for a heathy, happy life.
